Rome shopping

May 10, 04:51 AM

Campo de Fioro is one of the oldest, most well loved markets in the heart of Rome. Running for the last 140 years, yes that is right! 140 years!!!! Well known for the greatest food Rome has to offer.

They are open six days a week, with the exception of Sundays when they are closed. People from the local avenues and those travelling love visiting the markets and tasting all the food this gorgeous place has on offer.

But if its Sunday shopping that suits you best then there is a market you just have to see at the beautiful surroundings of the Porta Portese market grounds. Selling new and second hand clothes and home made crafts, from brica brack to all sorts of odds and ends.

It opens from early mornings and closes its doors at 1pm. There is so much to see and do at these markets that you better allow yourself a good few hours to walk around all the stalls that are on offer.

What a great way to check out Rome’s idea of a market stall. And to think they are so huge! Get your comfy shoes on and have yourself a fabulous time on your day out.
